beginner's navigation re-instated

The beginner's navigation session in Bristol on Sunday 26th January has been re-instated, after having been accidentally removed when I bungled trying to copy its listing for another event. Until anyone actually indicates that they are going to attend, I'll change the date at my convenience, but so far, no-one has.

Bjg: Haha, nothing wrong with being an expert follower! 😂 It's a rare skill and definitely takes the pressure off.

Let's keep our fingers crossed that blue_voyager drops a new date or maybe we could co-host one together? 😊🌿

Jesse, Co-Admin: pretty basic - I’ve always ‘followed’ ☺️

Bjg: Looks like there might be a few of us interested if Blue Voyager runs another one. Hopefully he'll see this and put another date on the calendar!
If not... how are your navigation skills, Bjg? 😄

blue_voyager: Any chance you'll be running another one soon? 😊 I was sorry to miss this one!

A photo just popped up on my PC of my wife at the sharp end of a rope as we moved together across the Vallee Blanche glacier in a white-out. She had her compass in hand and we were following a baring. In today's world of SatNavs navigating by reading a landscape or following compass barings is becoming a lost art, but it has been hugely useful to me over the years. Weather changes dramatically in the mountains, and batteries run out. This course is a great idea.
